Hello,
I wish to post in /r/minecraftbuddies, but I'm afraid it might be on the edge of infringing the rules, so I'd like to verify with you first.
In a nutshell, I want to present a community based around a server; Project Hermertia. It is a gigantic, elaborate, structured 5 years old world based around building, lore and most of all, community.
We are aware of /r/mcservers, but its format and rules make it quite impossible to well portray this server. A title like Project Hermertia [vanilla][smp][whitelist] doesn't come close to describe its rich history, its many cultures, its complex politics or the immense social aspect of it.
We tried to showcase the server on /r/Minecraft, but their rules are, if I may say, rather tyrannical. If a redditor ask, for example, if they can join, we can't provide an answer as it breaks the rules, even in a private message.
Given the unique nature and highly social aspect of Project Hermertia, I think it might have its place in a post on this subreddit and so I would like your input on how we could present an invitation to join the community while respecting the no server advertisement rule of /r/minecraftbuddies
Thank you for your attention!

Hey, thanks for contacting us first, we appreciate it

The reason for the 'no advertising' rule is to prevent those posts where the server owner doesn't particularly care about the people who play on their server, they just want to boost the numbers. From what you've said, this server doesn't seem to fall into that category. It sounds like you're the owner, or at least a moderator, so I'd say if you've at least held a conversation with pretty much every member of the community, you're all good.
Feel free to send us a draft of what you want to post if you're still not sure though, we'd be happy to take a look at it.

That's awesome, and thank you for your quick reply!
I'm just a member of the community, but we do an "advertisement campaign" roughly twice a year. There will be one soon and I thought of your subreddit as it seems close to what we are about.
I'll share this conversation with the person who organizes the campaign and no doubt he'll be in contact with you, within a few days/weeks.
Thank you!
