The month before my birthday, since I would be turning 40, I declared that a new park shall be opened up as my present to my people. I commissioned Captain Callum Wolfpond to build it, seeing as he was keen to volunteer. It was in deed the best decision I made. On my 40th Birthday I gave a short speech on the progress of Erikos and how I couldn’t ask more than to be my people’s leader. I then, with my family in tow, went to the new park and called it “People’s Park” in honour of the great men, women, and children I rule over.
I spent the remainder of the day in the park, talking to my wife, my children, my friends, and my subjects, providing free feasts for them all. It is a perfect place for reflection, meditation. It has swiftly become my favourite place to go, where I can be one with both nature and the people, I can be one with Erikos. It is a safe haven for all, there is constant guarding at the entrance so it is fully protected.
I have found myself a nice spot to sit and meditate, reflect on my day. It is just at the base of the great tree near the stream, the trickle of the water and the shuffling of the leaves in the breeze filling my ears enough to block everything out so I can truly relax and not worry about the bureaucracy and running of Erikos. I can truly relax at this spot, and that is the greatest birthday gift I have ever received.
