Envoy from Felandris, Count of Tremaine, to Scrios III, King of Perth
My Lord,
Following your approval I have begun construction in Tremaine. The city is developing nicely, these new stones are found in abundance and are invaluable in adapting new construction methods. I believe this city will grow to become a hub of trade and transport to the south and east of Perth.
Per your request, I have also explored some of the nearby settlements. Many are small villages of little consequence, however there is one settlement I have found which I believe will be of particular interest. It is a small collection of homes built upon the slopes of Mount Foliantos, several leagues south of Tremaine. It is a queer settlement. The people here have developed odd habits, such as knocking on the door frame three times before entering or leaving a room. Regardless of their oddities, they are fantastic farmers. Trade with this settlement could help in feeding the nearby populations.
In my stay at Mount Foliantos, I discovered the settlement was founded some time ago by a man named Lenier...I intend to search the annuls upon my return to the library at Adroan to discover the fate of this man, as the people here believe he simply disappeared one day. Whatever happened to him, his absence has been felt here. They seem to worship him as some kind of god, even building some warped temple to him...It is a bizzare structure, possibly intended to be a watch tower, but since has fallen into disrepair. It could prove dangerous if left standing, however the townspeople will not let me investigate the structure closely to discover it's integrity.
I shall continue my vigil over the South and to supply the rest of Perth with this new stone.
Hoping you are well
