I am all for having a much more defined guideline for ascending the ranks. Personally, I feel that we should be pushing people to be vassals under a liege instead of being Independent because it does create more unity among those in a kingdom, but I also recognize that some want to be on their own 'team'.

However, this would need to be done by incentivizing 'Kingdom' vs. 'Independent'... and that is another logistical matter to be discussed before we do an advertising campaign.

I would have to agree with all those in support of encouraging stricter goals and stipulations in becoming a Count, as enforcing a set of regulations does not seem feasible or necessary.
