Taken from the journal of Goran, cousin of King Varahein, steward of Castle Draenic

*Due to the fact many Pyrencians use their own language for naming of certain things, while writing in the common language of the realm for the most part, translations have been provided*

Day 1 of Construction
The King saw fit to travel with us to construction of the new castle, somewhat of an uncommon occurrence, since assuming the throne he has spent the vast majority of his time outside of Pyrencia, building social ties and bringing our people, who have been somewhat detached due to the distance between us and the rest of the civilized peoples is somewhat length, closer to the empire as a whole.
When we arrived the engineers quickly constructed a Vella'sanan [Nether Portal] and began constructing a rough path back to the main lines. In the mean time, the rest of us set up a rough camp in the snow plains outside the mountainous valley that was selected for castilization.

Sounds fairly rough over there. Hope conditions will improve.

Day 15 of Construction:
King Varahein has been injured today, a section of brick improperly placed collapsed onto his leg. The mason responsible has been punished accordingly. The king has been rushed back to Edhevrand, and his son Anthrail has taken command of the build site. Anthrail is a bold young man, just coming into his age. He has spent several years travelling with bands of pyrencian workers across several nations, so building is hardly new to him. He should do well here
