This campaign will grow momentum and celerity in the coming months and years as we finalize the ratification of the constitution too, which is going swimmingly. I look forward to seeing this election process grow. |

Was my post deleted? I will state again that I thought only counts and dukes could nominate someone for the role... |

The law was changed. http://hermertia.com/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=847 Upon the passing of the law, elections have to take place actually starting today. Nominations were to take place between then, and now. Technically, at this time, the only King to have nominated themselves after the passing of the new amendment is King Myron. |

As I see myself being tied up a little more over the next month and my character is getting fairly old, I will have to sit the first round out. After thinking about it more, I would love to run for this position if the upcoming month wasn't so busy. It is a great opportunity for Perth, Valyria and the Empire as a whole! |

Upon Imperial Law and definition of the recently passed Emperor Election laws: due to King Scrios IV declining a run for Emperor this life, and no other King's formally announcing their run, King Myron of Pyrencia is technically first elected Emperor. |

It has indeed been more than a week since the law passed the declared a week for a period waiting period after the passing of the previous emperor. By default, the first elected Emperor of the Mercurian Emperor becomes the young King Myron of Pyrencian. All hail Emperor Myron! |

Hold up, hold up. Since there techically was no "passing of an emperor," I believe that this election cycle would formally begin on the date that King Myron began calling for kings to nominate themselves. This is the first time that an emperor is to be elected and I believe that we should have a bit more time before declaring a default victor. It seems bad taste that the first emperor win unopposed. |
