Abstract:
So after wide-spread sampling, I have come to a scientifically objective conclusion:

Expensive Scottish Whiskey > Expensive Canadian Whiskey. Oh definitely.

Cheap Scottish Whiskey < Cheap Canadian Whiskey. Seriously, cheap scotch is terrible. Whereas cheap rye is something you can chug like a house wine (with the same alcohol content).

Intro:
It's true.

Methodology:
Science and stuff.

Conclusion:
For my regular fix, I'll hit up a CC for the same price as a bottle of wine. For my fancy fix, it'll be exquisite single malt barrelled master-pieces from the highlands.

Further reading:
Bourbon isn't even to be bothered with. That's right you dixie hicks, I said it. You want a piece of this?

I might have dabbled in the experiments a little too heavily.

Ethical Considerations:
If you are under 18 (Alberta/Quebec/Europe), Under 19 (the rest of the world), Under 21 (what the heck 'muricans, seriously!) then please do not read this.

That's some impeccable scientific process there Regent.

I kid :) Cool thoughts, though for obvious reasons I won't be taking advantage of them.

I've never sampled Canadian whiskey of any calibre. I will need to collect more information before I feel comfortable contributing *Looks at prices of Canadian booze*

If you are cheap, Rye is where you should be at. If you are a classy MOFO, stick with the scotch. That's my take anyway :P

I guess technically its better to do both. Be cheap AND classy!? Best of both words?

The cheap stuff is like paint thinner mixed with piss. Over in the UK theres a minimum spend I wont go below when it comes to Whiskey. Otherwise, disappointment awaits.....

Sir Gimpy! I remember a time when we couldn't share such conversations! When I'm in Ontario, we should have a hang out.. Sort of like a mentor to a peer. An old wisely sage like me, and a young spry wippersnapper like yourself. How's that sound? You can teach me the ways of hooliganry.

And Vegeuros, I'm not even sure if they sell rye over there? Sorry if you are stuck being classy all the time. Sometimes it's good to be the opposite.

TBH this is like basically an anthropological documentary. My cousins up in the woods sound exactly like this, like completely. Fuckin eh there bud.

We're polite, but we're far too more often than not drunk and swear like crazy. What else are we supposed to do? Sometimes I envy and prefer the Nicholas-like Canadians, a nice civilized change of pace.
