Hey guys. Had a look on /r/Minecraft earlier, looks like the new end generation will be roughly 1000 blocks from the existing End, and will go on indefinitely. There are new dugeons to explore, so i'm looking forward very much to this change. Should be good fun! I'd also like to community defeat the current Dragon, before its reset in 1.9. Thoughts?

I've been thinking of this since new end stuff was confirmed: Should the end also be protected from colonization, as the Nether is as well? I would love to kill the dragon as a team.

The way I recall it, the Nether is International Territory. Everyone has a right to unobstructed access through the nether and to their own portal should they wish it. I believe that if one is to wish to build, say, a research station or any kind of area there, Permission would first be sought out by posting it in the relevant nether forum. As for End colonisation, we've not had a talk about that yet, as we've not been there yet to defeat the dragon. As for the dragon, I believe we had an idea or two based on what we were going to do for it, to lorify and to make things interesting for an event after it. All to be discussed! |

^ that makes sense. No one person deserves to keep it to themselves. So putting it somewhere public on display would be a good idea. |

Egg will indeed make its way there eventually. Hopefully no-one or no-thing will prevent that.... |
