Indeed Khabranth has much struggled through recent times with the mysterious disappearance of its King Var Khalam... but the people of Khabranth have not forgotten one of the greatest assests of the old Lands, Fortuda...

While talks have stalled for years on end as to the exact terms of the reparation of the land to its rightful owners, a new King has united the people of Khabranth under the banner that we must claim our port back and restore Khabranthian national pride and glory.

As follows, these declarations are to be effective immediately:

-The Kingdom of Khabranth formally declares war on the Kingdom of Minerva. A former ally who has failed to justly and swiftly bring back to Khabranth its former port city.

-The closing of all borders of Khabranth, as well as the barring of any outsiders on pain of death from its borders until the crisis is resolved and Khabranth the rightful owner of its port.

-The temporary suspension of any help from Khabranth towards its outside allies in the hope that this does not drag further nations into this small conflict

This is disheartening news,
Let it be known, the United Kingdom of Greater Minerva has every interest in returning Fortuda to its old allies. Negotiations were genuine. I understand Khabranth's issues with perceived injustices, they suffered greatly the last few generations. As has Minerva, for reasons of their own cause. But Minerva will not give in to aggressive demands from these Khabranthian nationalists. Do they forget that Minervans also live throughout Fortuda? What will these Khabranthian nationalists do to them in a hasty transfer?

Khabranth has, in negotiations, demanded reparations for the fact Minerva has 'occupied' Fortuda in this time, demanding resources at a scale and timeframe Minerva will not agree with. Minerva recognizes it's ownership was legal within international law. Minerva therefore sees the transfer of Fortuda as its duty to the old alliance in due time, not as a mandatory action. Minerva will therefore not agree to such aggressive reparations.

But Minerva is confident this issue can be solved without the use of international support, or if so, at a very limited scale. At least from Minerva's perspective, Minerva will not request allies as this is a bilateral dispute, at least at this time.

Dear allies, let it be known Minerva will aim to solve this with celerity.

Dear Khabranth, while we understand your suffering, we will defend ourselves in the face of your nationalism. So, we shall meet each other in battle.

Announcement from the Östur in Acholm:

Firstly, Östlaed condemns this war, a war that seemingly could flare into a regional conflict based on intercepted letters found by our spies.

Secondly, the Östrons urge all nations of the Empire to avoid the Kingdoms of Minerva and Khabranth during this war. Östron ships and traders will be escorted by many Östron carracks and will fire on any ships that endanger our peaceful trading missions.



Finally, Östlaed has withdrawn their few traders present in Minerva. No traders were present in the isolated realm of Khabranth.

It is tragic that Minervans will suffer economically due to this conflict, such as traders leaving, but it is a necessary sacrifice for protection of our rights and our vision of a reasonable conclusion to this conflict.

We will possibly work with the Regent of Minerva to setup some sort of trading network via the Valtoran town of "New Bogtown." Obviously, certain exports like Östron ale could see significant price increases in Minervan towns.

That is a reasonable and neutral policy, thank you sir, for that will help you retain your neutrality, protect your people, but also not punish the innocent testificates of Minerva.

This is an official declaration of war against Kabranth, there leader has blatantly made fun of me and my support of Minerva has now changed to an ally of war in part because of this.

Let it be known, I fully support Kaine's support in terms of training, technology and intelligence, but I do NOT accept Kaine's offer to join the war on Minerva's behalf. Kaine is welcome to continue their war and set their own terms, but they will not represent Minerva. I deeply respect my ally, and if the war turns against me, I may send an invite. But for now, this is our official status.

We will be hoping for a peaceful resolution to this conflict.
