Post subject:  An Admonition to the Duchy of Laghima
Information obtained from an anonymous source relating to the current crisis between the Vulcite Elves and Laghimans has reached the governments of the Gathered Races of Hermertia Homeland and Casadia. Disturbing revelations of Laghiman aggression toward the native Vulcites including annexation and threats of violence leave us with no choice but to take action.

First, the GRHH and Casadia formally denounce any acts of subjugation, forced displacement, or war that may be directed at the native population by the government of the Duchy of Laghima.

Second, the GRHH and Casadia vow to blockade Laghiman shipping through Traders' Bay if the Duchy of Laghima does not cease all repressive actions towards the native Vulcite Elves and engage in negotiations to reach a peaceful solution amenable to both parties.

Third, the GRHH and Casadia offer their services as mediators to achieve such a solution.

In addition, in the case that any Vulcite Elves find themselves displaced by violence in the region, the GRHH Co. offers its services to help them resettle peacefully in the GRHH.

Casadia affirms this sentiment. Neither party has acted peacefully or in good faith. Negotiations must begin at once to ensure a peaceful resolution to this brewing crisis.

Announcement from the throne room at the Östur:

Although the realm of Östlaed does not condone the random killing of sapient species, we however believe that the Vulcites have done much to incite violence and indeed began the violence that lead to the current war in Laghima.

Furthermore, Östlaed has done much to try to keep trade open with Laghima and will continue to trade with Laghima through whatever channels we wish to do so through. This includes between the islands and shores of the G.R.H.H., Casadia, and Kaine.

Due to the announcement of a blockade of Laghima, the Östfleot will now begin escorting all of our trading fleets to and from Laghima with large Cogs and Carracks:

Force will be met with force. Should multiple cases of armed conflict occur because of this "blockade," full-scale conflict has not be ruled out.

I can assure both Casadia and the GRHH that Laghima will do what it pleases in the removal of terrorists from our sovereign lands. This petty attempt at a display of power will not be taken lightly and once Laghima has triumphed over the western menace, it will be clear who our next enemies will be.

Laghima would like to remind the international community that the Vulcite Elves have brought suffering to themselves through their use of rampant violence. These elves are not like most, they are destructive, they seek to destroy our culture, brainwash our children, attack our settlements and harm our people. Peace will not be made between Laghima and the Vulcite Elves, which is why our armies march to destroy these elves as I speak.

We see this admonition as nothing more than an attempt to display power that does not exist. We see this admonition as an attempt to support terrorists that are threatening the integrity of our nation, and ultimately the Empire. We refuse to be afraid of the sheltered realms of the east. Laghima will stand strong against our enemies, whoever they may be, where ever they may be.

Laghima would like to conclude this response by officially denouncing the governments of both Casadia and the GRHH and recognizing them as threats to Imperial integrity and peace.

As a realm of the Mercurian Empire, Laghima is bound by the empire's laws of war. Should the Laghiman invaders violate these laws and attempt to harm civilians or their property, the leaders and soldiers of Laghima will be held accountable. A pair of vessels bearing Casadian observers and their guards are setting sail for Vulca to ensure that your irrational pursuit of violence does not extend beyond the militaries engaged in combat. Casadia encourages other realms to join in monitoring the war to hold Laghima accountable for any illegal or immoral actions. Casadia also reiterates its desire for a peaceful solution to this crisis. Violence caused this rift and will only serve to widen it. Casadia urges Laghima to recall its soldiers and search for a diplomatic solution.

Ealdorman Accynnafon has received word of Casadian fleet movements.

A huge fleet of Östron ships is now enforcing a blockade of Casadian, GRHH, and Dawnstar ships from progressing south to Laghima.

I find it disgusting that the Queen of Dawnstar name these nations as honorable. Laghima does not encourage any other realm that is ruled by sane individuals or bodies to endorse this behavior from the east.

Imperial Laws also state Laghima is entitled to defend itself from an unjust attack. Kidnapping the future Duke of Laghima, attacking exploration vehicles seeking to establish peaceful relations, as well as taking hostages is considered an unjust attack. I find it funny that the Duke of a realm that brutally invaded Kybalia, destabilizing the region further, is suddenly quick to enforce peace.

Laghima would also like to add that sending armed observers into sovereign Laghiman lands is an act of violence. We will not tolerate Casadian weapons in our territory. You ask for peace but you escalate this situation with guards and weapons.

Given current information, the elves have been increasingly violent towards Imperial citizens. The Duke of Laghima has every right to defend himself and his people against the Vulcite elves. Keep in mind the long history of troubles the empire has had with the elves! Desperate times call for desperate acts.
